When Rebecca Henderson enrolled
at EdCC, she had no idea that she would one day be interning as
a digital forensic analyst working on actual cases for the Washington
State Attorney General.
"Steve Hailey came in to my Cisco Networking class and
talked about the forensics program at the college." Said
Rebecca. After hearing what he had to say, I knew that forensics
was something I wanted to learn more about. I never dreamed
that I would have the opportunities I've been given from being
part of the program. This has changed my life."
Rebecca was chosen from three finalists - all at the top of
their digital forensics classes, to work for the ATG.
"It was a difficult decision to make," said Aaron
Munn, an investigator for the Washington State Attorney General.
"All candidates were extremely qualified. We were impressed
with how much they already knew about digital forensics and
the investigative process. Working with Rebecca has been great
- she is doing a tremendous job, and we are glad to have her
as part of the team."
While Rebecca cannot divulge particulars, she has worked on
many cases to date, and has been able to put her forensic and
packet analysis skills to good use. "We teach students
what they need to know in order to do this work in the real
world." Said Steve Hailey, instructor for the digital forensics
program. Rebecca is another example of what our students are
capable of."
"I'll be back at EdCC for the Cellular Phone and Personal
Digital Assistant Forensics class, as well as Digital Forensics
III." Said Rebecca. "I want to learn as much as I
can about this field. I know now that I can really do this work,
and I will be starting my own digital forensics company."
The opportunities are endless. Take action today and enroll
