
One aspect of being a professional is
that you associate with other professionals. Participating in
and belonging to organizations that are actively involved in
practicing and furthering the growth of your discipline is a
must.
Many professional organizations related
to digital forensics and information security require either
experience in the field, or employment that is directly related.
The EdCC digital forensics and information
security club was established to give students an opportunity
to network with others, exchange ideas, and to take advantage
of continuing education opportunities. Club members are afforded
the opportunity to hone their public speaking skills and give
presentations at the Washington State High Technology Crime
Investigation Association meetings - an excellent way to network
with professionals actively involved in the fields of digital
forensics and information security for a living.
Members can also check out full versions
of forensic software and hardware write blockers at no cost
whatsoever. If you are a student at EdCC, you meet the requirements
